Back with a bang! After a one-year hiatus, the Peace River Santa Claus Parade returned Nov. 26 with the help of the Town of Peace River and the Peace River and District Chamber of Commerce. Hundreds lined the parade route to view many colourful and brightly-decorated floats. This year’s parade theme was ‘Merrier Together’. Parade winners were as follows:

  • Brilliantly Big Float winner: Avenge Energy Services
  • Spectacular Small Float winner: River Country & KIX FM
  • Get Loud & Proud float winner: Peace River Rotoract Club
  • Magical Winter Wonderland Float winner: Peace River Musyoka Ukranian Dancers
    Peace River celebrated the weekend with other promotions including The Black Friday sale, Passport to Christmas, Moonlight Madness, and Shop Local Saturday.

Many lined the streets to watch the parade including Cindy, Macie and Mason Cameron.

The Peace River and District Chamber of Commerce invited Santa to ride along on their float. Accompany him were plenty of smiles!
Avenge Energy Services won the prize for Brilliantly Big Float.
A train was brightly decorated and an attractive feature in town.
The Magical Winter Wonderland Float winner was Peace River Muzyka Ukrainian Dancers.

Fireworks were set off for the enjoyment of many at Light Up the Park at Riverfront Park.
